BAU — The committee of Catholic Memorial and Pastoral Centre (CMPC), Mt Singai, Bau is appealing for financial assistance to help make the extension project of Christ the King Chapel (on Mt Singai) a reality.

In a letter dated 24 June, the Chairman of CMPC, Vincent Eddy, wrote that they “are now in the midst extending Christ the King Chapel in order to increase the seating capacity from the present 300 to about twice from what it is now.”

The shortage of funds has always been a problem, but “we trust that the Lord will continue to send more people to help us including your good self, and therefore we have started this extension project even though our fund is very limited,” the letter says.

The extension project would need about RM200,000.00, according to Vincent Eddy.

The full letter is as follows:

Dear friends and benefactors,

Greetings and warm wishes to you and a Blessed Year. We are now in the midst of extending Christ the King Chapel in order to increase the seating capacity from the present 300 to about twice from what it is now.

Throughout the construction of CMPC infrastructures, the shortage of fund has always and continues to be a major problem, but we trust that the Lord will continue to send more people to help us including your good self, and therefore we have started this extension project even though our fund is very limited.

From the drawing plan, you can see that it will cost quite a substantial amount, in the region of about RM200,000.00 which we do not have, but we believe that with your generous support, we are confident that we can achieve what we have started.

We thank you for your past support and we continue to appeal for your generosity. You may send your donation in cash or in cheque which may be payable to: Catholic Memorial and Pilgrimage Centre.

All donations will be duly acknowledged. Should you need more information, you may call me or Fr John Chong, the Rector of St Stephen’s Parish, Bau through the contact numbers above.

Thank you and God bless.

Yours sincerely in Christ,
Vincent Eddy ak Sireng
Chairman
CMPC, Mt Singai, Bau
