KOTA PADAWAN — The St Ann Feast Day Lucky Draw celebration was held joyfully in conjunction with the Zon Community Sales Day Penrissen Zone event at the Kampung Bratan Community Hall on Sunday, 26 October 2025. The day began early with a vibrant cultural dance performed by parishioners, setting a festive tone for the celebration. The Sunday Mass at 8.00 a.m. was celebrated by Fr Don Don Ramerez, OFM, who, in his homily, reminded the faithful to humble themselves in prayer like the tax collector in the day’s Gospel reading.
After the Mass, speeches were delivered by Marcellius Meran (Zon Coordinator), Judas Ligon (PPC Chairman), and the Rector, who officiated the event.The celebration continued with the Zon Sale, featuring 12 stalls from various villages and individuals under Penrissen Zone. The joyful atmosphere was uplifted by songs sponsored by parishioners and lively performances by the children’s group “Belia Celik” from St Catherine, Kampung Bratan.
At 12.30 pm, the much-anticipated SAFD Lucky Draw began following the arrival of invited guests and the setup of the lucky draw machine. Three categories of prizes were offered: 10 smartphones, 5 laptops, and 10 pilgrimage packages to the Holy Land.
Each winning ticket was carefully recorded by the SAFD committee members. On the day itself, only two winners were present to claim their prizes, while the remaining winners are welcome to collect theirs at St Ann’s Church within one month.

After the SAFD Lucky Draw, the program continued with vibrant performances by the Penrissen Zoner Choir, followed by lively dance and karaoke sessions. The excitement carried on with another highlight — the Penrissen Zone Lucky Draw activity, which added even more joy and anticipation to the afternoon.
As a gesture of gratitude, the Zone Coordinator presented Love Gift of appreciation to Fr Don Don Ramerez, and Fr Nelson Evarinus, OFM, in recognition of their support and presence throughout the celebration.
The event concluded at 5:00 p.m. with a heartfelt closing prayer led by Fr Don Don Ramerez.
It was truly a meaningful and spirit-filled celebration of faith, unity, and thanksgiving. Praise the Lord for His abundant blessings upon this joyous event!
