KUCHING — On 15 June 2025, St Peter’s Church Padungan celebrated The Most Holy Trinity and the Baptism of 11 children from the Sunday School.
A beautiful ceremony with children wearing white garments and holding the lighted baptismal candles.
The Rite of Baptism was presided by Fr Christopher Laden who anointed the children with the sacred chrism oil which symbolised connection between baptism and ordination.
“Baptism is the 1st sacrament of Christian initiation and new birth in the Holy Spirit incorporating into the body of Christ and the Catholic Church.” Galatians 3:27 – For as many of you as were baptised into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
