KUCHING (16 Sept 2025) —  The Carmelite Chapel was filled with prayer and joy on 16 September 2025 morning as the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites (OCDS) community, together with family and friends, celebrated the profession of promises by three of its members during the 8.00 am Mass.

Stephen Tai and Annie Law each made their Temporary Promise, committing for three years to pursue evangelical perfection through the counsels of chastity, poverty and obedience, as well as the beatitudes in accordance with the OCDS Constitutions. Anna Chan pronounced her Definitive Promise, dedicating herself to this vocation for life.

The Mass was presided over by Rev Fr Ramon Galve Borja, SDB, the community’s spiritual adviser, who led the congregation in thanksgiving for the new commitments.

The community offered warm congratulations to the newly professed members, praying that their lives continue to witness to God’s presence.
