KUCHING (19 July 2025 ) — The 16th Kuching Company of The Boys’ Brigade (BB) and the 13th Kuching Company of The Girls’ Brigade (GB) held their annual Enrolment Ceremony during the Sunset Mass at St Joseph’s Cathedral, Kuching. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by His Grace Most Rev Dato Dr Simon Poh, Archbishop of Kuching, and concelebrated by Fr Galvin Ngumbang.
The solemn yet joyful occasion saw the participation of over 60 Boys and Girls Brigade members, officers, and supporters. The Enrolment Ceremony took place immediately following the homily, in the presence of the Boys’ Brigade Sarawak State Commissioner, Honorary Captain Sim Tze Sian, along with officers from various companies and denominations.
The ceremony signified the commitment of members to live out the Brigade motto — Sure & Stedfast — and to grow in faith, discipline, and service. His Grace in his message encouraged the youths to remain rooted in Christ, serve the community wholeheartedly, and be bold witnesses of the Gospel in their daily lives.
The evening concluded with a group photo to commemorate the special occasion, highlighting the spirit of unity and shared mission between the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigades in building strong Christian values among the youth of Sarawak.
