KUCHING — Chairlady Rose Khoo and committee members of St Joseph’s Parish Ladies Guild (SJPLG) travelled to Tebedu/Entikong border Immigration Post to welcome the 39 visitors of Wanita Republic of Indonesia to Kuching. Chairlady Valentina Yolanda, Religious Sister Magdalena and members arrived for a visit from 15-17 May 2026.
Their first stop was to the Garden of Gethsemane Pilgrimage Centre, Bunan where the Bunan Ladies Guild Chairlady, Martina Ak Bawan and members prepared a delicious lunch for the visitors.
At St Ann Parish, Kota Padawan, the Chairlady and members greeted them and conducted a tour of the Church for them. The visitors also attended Holy Mass celebrated by Fr Don Don Ramirez.
The Saturday programme included a visit and guided tour of the beautiful St Peter’s Church, Padungan. St Peter’s Ladies Guild Chairlady, Rose Tan and her committee treated the visitors to a tea followship.
The visitors from Sanggau later visited St Joseph’s Parish Ladies Guild at ACCPC. Rector of St Joseph’s Cathedral Fr Nicholas Ng, and Fr Davie Entalai graced the High Tea fellowship where the spirit of warmth, unity and joy was embraced by both hosts and visitors with happy singing and some dancing.
The highlight of the evening was attending the Sunset Mass at St Joseph’s Cathedral where the celebrant Fr Davie warmly welcomed the visitors to Kuching.
