KUCHING — Holy Trinity Parish organized a series of four Symposiums in three language groups English, BM and Chinese as part of the two weeks “PERJALANAN SALIB MPC” activities from 8-22 August, 2026.
Except for “Ecology” where the speakers were Fr Andre, Fr Nelson & Fr Delphin, the other three symposiums were blessed with sharing from a religious sister and lay leaders.
Parishioners listened to the insightful, informative, heartfelt and inspirational presentations which helped all present to:
1. Internalize the lessons of the Malaysia Pastoral Convention on Family, Ecology, Life in Society, and the Church.
2. Experience INTIMACY with God, with Self, and with Others.
Each presentation was followed by individual reflection, completion of an evaluation questionnaire and small group discussions on the simple actions/steps the parish community and church can take together.
All evaluation and small group discussions were modeled on a mini MPC setting and serve as feedback for the Parish representatives who will participate in the upcoming MPC 2026 in Sibu.
The symposium ended each night with a Veneration of the Cross by all participants who placed their personal prayer petitions at the foot of the SALIB, a Prayer to St Helena of the Cross followed by final blessing by the rector, Fr Eugene Magsalang.
HTC thanks all speakers and the community for their active participation in this journey to be missionary disciples of Christ.
