KUCHING — On 27 January 2024, the St Joseph Conference of St Vincent de Paul (SSVP), working jointly with the Lions Club of Kuching City, hosted a Chinese New Year 2024 Ang Pow giveaway event for a group of ten (10) families of selected friends-in-need (FIN) who celebrate the Lunar New Year. The Lions Club has been a longtime partner with SSVP for this annual event.
This year, the event was held at the St Mary’s room, ACCPC building at 10.00 am. In addition to the customary ‘ang pow’ handover ceremony, the FIN families were also given goodies in the form of dry food items to take home and treated to refreshments during the event. Everything was sponsored by the Lions Club of Kuching City.
