KUCHING — On 26th April 2025, the Christ The King (CTK) OCDS community gathered in joy and thanksgiving to celebrate their 25th Anniversary cum Jubilee Pilgrimage. The day began with the praying of Lauds at Carmelite Chapel, setting a prayerful tone for the celebration. This was followed by a solemn Holy Mass, presided over by Rev. Fr Ramon Borja. SDB, CTK OCDS community’s Spiritual Advisor

After the Mass, the CTK OCDS professed members renewed their promises, reaffirming their commitment to the spirit and way of life of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites.

Following this special moment, Fr Ramon shared an inspiring spiritual input, encouraging deeper reflection and growth. The celebration also provided an opportunity for members to receive the sacrament of Confession, allowing many to experience renewal and grace.

Later, the community made a pilgrimage to St Peter’s Church, where they united in prayer through the Rosary, entrusting their journey and future to Our Lady. About 35 members and non-members participated in the day’s events, each one contributing to the spirit of gratitude and fraternity.

The pilgrimage ended with a heartfelt prayer led by Fr Ramon, drawing the beautiful celebration to a close. The day concluded with a joyful lunch, where participants shared food, fellowship, and reflections on the blessings of the past 25 years.

It was truly a day of grace, community, and renewed commitment to the Carmelite spirit.

As St. John of the Cross reminds us:

“Where there is no love, pour love in, and you will draw love out.”
