BRUNEI — The Church of Our Lady Immaculate Conception, Seria successfully wrapped up an inspiring 2-day Laudato Si’ Workshop, over the weekend of 24 January 2026, and what a meaningful journey it was!
A huge shout-out and heartfelt thanks to the Creation Justice Commission of the Diocese of Miri, Malaysia, led by Brother William and his amazing three-member team. Your passion, knowledge, and energy truly made the sessions come alive.
I could see that the parishioners were fully engaged—great slides, rich insights, thoughtful sharing, and a wonderful crowd. The atmosphere was vibrant, reflective, and motivating all at once! Rev Fr Robert Leong, Parish Priest of Church of our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, accompanied us for the two days, and his presence greatly encouraged us.
The Ecological Parish Protocols refined and consolidated the many ideas into actionable and worthwhile initiatives. A Creation Justice Ministry will be formed to continue spreading Pope Francis’ Laudato Si’ – Care for Our Common Home, his powerful call to “every person living on this planet” to come together in shaping a sustainable future for our Earth. The Creation Justice Ministry will be formally commissioned in the presence of the congregation in due course together with the signing of the Ecological Pledge.
As we now go our separate ways, we do so with a shared mission. No more waiting—no more lingering. Creation Justice, here we come!
