Health Campaign Brings Joy to Home of Peace Residents

By Home Of Peace

KOTA PADAWAN — On 30 April 2026, the Home of Peace Care Center at Jalan Landeh welcomed Year 2 Semester II Diploma in Nursing trainees from ILKKM Kuching, accompanied by their lecturers and Clinical Instructors, for a meaningful Health Campaign Program. The initiative involved 46 elderly residents and was filled with warmth, care, and lively interaction.

The campaign’s objectives were to promote health awareness, conduct basic screenings, and provide health education tailored to the elderly. Activities included light exercise, cognitive games, health exhibitions on Alzheimer’s disease and nutrition, as well as talks on fall and injury prevention. Social activities and games added joy to the day, encouraging residents to participate actively.

For the nursing trainees, the program was a valuable learning experience. They strengthened their communication, teamwork, and leadership skills while practicing holistic gerontological care. Most importantly, they discovered the deeper meaning of empathy and compassion in serving the elderly.

We sincerely appreciate and welcome such initiatives. Our residents truly enjoyed interacting with the students, and their smiles and laughter made the day memorable. We look forward to more collaborations that bring health, joy, and companionship to our community.
