The Holy Cross Ministry celebrates its 44th Anniversary this year in 2026. It is founded by Brother Stephen Bong. This is a ministry of Deliverance and Healing which focuses on Christian Spiritual Growth and the charisma of the Holy Spirit. The ministry today is a member of the Archdiocese of Kuching Ministry of Deliverance & Exorcism.
This Faith Formation programe titled “Walking and Growing In The Love and Power of Jesus” is about Christian Spiritual Growth that is empowered by the Holy Spirit. Christianity is not a philosphy about life or ideology and doctrines. The Goodnews of Jesus Christ is “New Life” a life in all its fullness.
The living and expressing this New Life is our Christian calling, and vocation is the very core of repentance and believing in the Gospel. This, then, is Spiritual Growth. We cannot repent unless we believe in the Gospel. The Gospel is the power of God that saves us sinners. The Gospel is about a New Life that expresses the Love and Power of Jesus in our own lives. To accept and grow in this New Life that is offered to us in the Gospel means we must be willing to get rid of the old life. It is getting rid of the old life that gives evidence of repentance.
The only power that enables us to have a personal encounter with the person of Jesus who is risen is the Holy Spirit, it is the Spirit alone who is the prime mover. He is the One at work who delivers and heals us by removing the old life and growing the new life in us that bears His fruits and His power.
Bearing the fruits and gifts of the Spirit is the foundation of our Spiritual Growth.
This Faith Formation seeks only to facilitate our part in understanding and in our cooperation with the work of the Holy Spirit that is active and is working in us. More importantly participants are led to experience the power of the Holy Spirit themselves and have a personal encounter with Jesus. “Taste and see the Lord is Good” (Psalm 33:2-7)
May the anointing of the Spirit be upon you as He transforms your lives and fills you with Joy and Peace of the Lord that the world can never give.
