KUCHING — The St Joseph’s Cathedral Parish Family Day (PFD) 2026 set for Sunday 5 July, promises to be a fun and fellowship-filled occasion for Catholics and non-Catholics in and around the city.
Members of the public, Catholics in particular, are cordially invited to join in the joy and fun of the half-day event that will be held at the Archdiocesan Curia & Cathedral Pastoral Centre (ACCPC) building and its surrounding perimeters, here.
The family day will feature sales of many kinds of merchandise, food items and drinks, music and dance, games and entertainment.
The PFD was launched on 18 January this year with a target of raising RM400,000 for the upkeep of the ACCPC building, an archdiocesan facility that comes under the care of St Joseph’s Cathedral Church as the mother Church.
Held regularly throughout the years, the PFD is also aimed at enhancing fellowship and unity among Catholics in the city and other parishes under the Archdiocese of Kuching.
To date, more than 70 stall operators had registered with the Parish Office to set up stalls for the sales.
The PFD was kick-started earlier in January with pre-sale activities by various registered stall operators that had added to enlivening the spirit of family togetherness in the run-up to the d-day on 5 July.
