KUCHING — The Kuching Archdiocesan Youth Commission took their KAYD19 roadshow to Blessed Sacrament Church (BSC) on Sunday, 5 May 2019 to target the youths there after Mass.

Some of you may ask, “What is KAYD?” The acronym stands for Kuching Archdiocesan Youth Day.

Kuching Archdiocesan Youth Commission, in collaboration with all parishes and youth groups in the Archdiocese of Kuching, have since 2017, organised KAYD.

Featuring the theme, “Serve: Thy word be done” as announced by Pope Francis on World Youth Day 2019 in Panama, it constitutes a journey of faith, love and hope; accompanied by the Virgin Mary whom all generations call “Blessed” (Luke 1:8).

The KAYD theme had been divided into three parts. KAYD17 and KAYD18 (indicative of the previous years), were organised at the parish levels. However, KAYD19, the ultimate celebration for the Archdiocesan youths, will be celebrated at the parish and archdiocesan levels.

KAYD19 will be held at the ACCPC, Kuching from 31 August – 2 September 2019.
