KUCHING — The Divine Mercy Apostolate of St Joseph’s Cathedral and St Peter’s Church in Kuching recently organised several joint Advent Outreach 2025 to assist the poor, marginalised and financially challenged families living in and around the Kuching areas.
The organising team kick start their program with the distribution of dry food ration to 30 families staying around the Sungei Apong Resettlement Area on 13 December 2025.
This was followed by the distribution of 45 units of mattresses to the families living around MJC Batu Kawa/Stapok/Batu Kitang/Matang/Desa Wira areas on 17 December 2025. The distribution of food ration to the families in the same area was done on 20 December 2025.
We closed this Advent Outreach by having a Christmas Lunch with the poor on 26 December 2025 at MJC Batu Kawa which also gave the organising team a chance to interact with the families. A BIG thank you to all the generous donors who enable us to successfully carry out these events which brought festive cheers to the less fortunate.
