KUCHING — St Joseph’s Parish Ladies Guild, Kuching on 7 August 2026, received 38 visiting members from the Catholic women of Christ the King Cathedral, Parish Branch consisting of St Anne sub-branch and Christ the King Cathedral Parish, Sintang, West Kalimantan, Indonesia.
Guest of Honour, Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Catherine Gramong and Puan Yuliana Fondasoya Lilistian led the 38-member delegation on a day’s visit to St Joseph’s Cathedral Parish Ladies Guild, Kuching. There, Dato’ Catherine Gramong gave a talk on “Walking Together in Faith: Strengthening Catholic Women’s mission Across Borders”.
Fr Nicholas Ng, Fr Patrick Heng and Sr Stella Tan graced the occasion. Invited guests were Margaret Francis, chairlady of Archdiocese of Kuching Ladies Guild; Rose Tan, chairlady of St Peter Parish Ladies Guild, Puan Helina, deputy chairlady of Sacred Heart Church Parish Ladies Guild, Puan Alles Jadai, chairlady of St Anne Parish Ladies Guild, Prisca Wong, chairlady of Catholic Single Women Fellowship.
There was an exchange of souvenirs from both chairladies … Rose Khoo (St Joseph’s Parish, Kuching) and Puan Yuliana Fondasoya (chairperson of St Anne sub- branch Wanita Katolik Republic Indonesia).
The visitors, invited guests and Ladies Guild members were treated to a sumptuous afternoon tea where there were singing of hymns and spontaneous dancing. Indeed, a happy meet up of Catholic women across borders, gathered in faith, hope and joy.
