KOTA PADAWAN — The Commission for Christian Family Life organised a two-day Marriage Preparation Facilitators’ Training on 1–2 August at the Conference Room of St Ann’s Parish, Kota Padawan. More than 80 facilitators from parishes across the Archdiocese took part in the programme.
The training comprised a series of formation sessions and an open forum aimed at strengthening the facilitators’ knowledge, skills, and pastoral approach in accompanying engaged couples. The Spiritual Director, Rev Fr Peter Liston, led an in-depth reflection on Familiaris Consortio, the Apostolic Exhortation of Pope St John Paul II, highlighting the Church’s vision of marriage and family life.
The programme also welcomed several new individuals and couples from various parishes who expressed an interest in serving in the Marriage Preparation Ministry. Their participation reflects the Archdiocese’s continued commitment to forming well-equipped facilitators to support couples as they prepare for the Sacrament of Matrimony.
