On 18 July 2026, the Home of Peace (HOPe) concluded its Gawai Dayak celebrations with a joyful Gawai Closing Celebration 2026, bringing together residents, staff, benefactors and friends in an evening of thanksgiving, fellowship and cultural tradition.

Gawai Dayak 2026 at the Church of Mother Mary, Stutong ended with the “Ngiling Bidai” Ceremony which involves the “Rolling of the Mat” held on 27 June 2026 with a Pot-Bless Fellowship followed by an evening of fun and traditional performances by way of Traditional Dayak Dance and Iban Ngajat. The evening was filled with Karaoke Performances and dances to the beat of the songs.
