KOTA PADAWAN — On 23 March 2026, a thanksgiving Mass was concelebrated by His Grace, Archbishop Simon Poh and Rev Fr John Chong, the Chaplain of Home of Peace. The said Mass was in celebration of Sr Eunicia Sulong’s 17 years of service at the Home since its inception. Praise the Lord for her love, care and dedication to ensure the smooth running of the Home and that the elderly are given dignity and love of Christ in their twilight years. CWS wishes her all the best in her new posting at Santa Clara Home.
At the same time, the Home is celebrating the welcoming of Sr Emelda Yan, the new Assistant Matron of Home of Peace to Sr Flora (Matron of the Home). Sr Emelda will officially report for duty on 8 April 2026.
After the Mass all present were invited for a farewell and welcome dinner organised by CWS and staff of Home of Peace. Everyone had a wonderful time of fellowship, song and dance among the residents, staff, friends and relatives of the guests of honour. Also present at the function was the chairman of CWS, Mr. Jacob Wong together with a number of CWS committee members.
