KUCHING — Easter Sunday on 5 April 2026 was celebrated with a Christ-centred family focus fellowship at the Good Shepherd Hall in Holy Trinity Church, Kenyalang, Kuching.
The annual out-of-class event brought a gathering of families including grandparents, godparents, and guardians of the children as an engaging way of teaching them the significance of Easter. It was also a reminder of Jesus’s victory of sin and death and salvation for mankind.
The children of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Class started the activities with a presentation of “Jesus Loves Me”. The Rector, Fr Eugeno Gocela Maglasang, SDB gave the Easter address and blessing of the array of potluck food that filled two big tables generously prepared by each family.
After packing sufficient energy with the delicious food, the children accompanied by some of the family members participated in the treasure hunt. This was followed by Parent-child partnership Word of Mouth game and a Holy Week Quiz. The highlight was the Best Dressed Easter Bunny Contest.
