SERIAN   On 20 March 2026, the Archdiocese of Kuching celebrated a sacred evening as Seminarian Addie Frank Anak Lingge was ordained to the Order of Deacon by His Grace,

Most Rev Archbishop Simon Poh at St Theresa’s Church, Serian. The liturgy drew nearly 1,500 parishioners from across the Archdiocese, a powerful witness of faith and support for his vocation.

In his testimony, Deacon Addie Frank expressed heartfelt gratitude to Archbishop Simon Poh for his fatherly guidance, to priests and seminary formators for their wisdom, and to Fr Lazarus Swinnie, rector of St Theresa’s Church, for hosting the ordination with tireless dedication. He also thanked parishioners, family, and fellow seminarians for their prayers and companionship throughout his journey.

Before entering the seminary, Deacon Addie Frank gained eight years of professional working experience. He worked as an Account Assistant in Shah Alam and later as an Administrator in several companies in Kuching.

His path to ordination was shaped by nearly a decade of formation, beginning at College General in Penang and continuing through philosophical and theological studies at St Peter’s College, Kuching. These years instilled in him discipline, responsibility, and a spirit of service.

As he begins his ministry, Deacon Addie Frank humbly asks for continued prayers that he may serve with joy, humility, and fidelity, journeying faithfully toward the priesthood.
